I was a resident artist at The Hive Gallery & Studios from April of 2005 to May of 2007. I was among the first to move into the Hive and was a participant and witness to it's rise of status as one of downtown's favorite art destinations. I have since moved to a larger work space closeby in downtown. But, I still come by often to hang out with Nathan Cartwright and the current resident artists. The Hive Gallery has an opening the 1st Saturday of every month which is usually a group show of Los Angeles based artists. During this opening the Hive resident artist's will have their spaces open for the viewing public. The second Thursday of every month is the Downtown Art Walk in which The Hive Gallery participates. The gallery show and artist spaces will be open for the public at that time as well.
